Shinkafi to INEC: Withdraw Ya’u’s name, obey court order

Dr. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, an APC chieftain and Zamfara North senatorial aspirant, has called on INEC to withdraw the name of Senator Sahabi Alhaji Ya'u as the party's candidate for the district. This follows INEC's publication of Ya'u's name despite a Federal High Court judgment on August 31 that nullified the APC's May 19 primary and ordered a fresh primary within 14 days. Shinkafi stated that INEC was served with the judgment and should not publish any candidate until the fresh primary is conducted or the matter is resolved by appellate courts.
