The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Engr. Usman Maijama’a Kallamu, has won the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency bye-election held on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Kallamu polled 41,121 votes to defeat candidates of other political parties. The bye-election was conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to fill the vacant seat following the death of the former member, Hon. Yaya Bauchi Tongo. According to INEC, 47,301 votes were cast, with 46,551 valid and 750 rejected.
