I didn’t abandon Gov Yusuf; I still like him — Kwankwaso

The Leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has expressed willingness to reconcile with Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State. In an interview with BBC Hausa Service, Kwankwaso said he did not abandon Yusuf or ask him to change his political party, adding that he still likes him. The relationship between the two became frosty after Yusuf, who won the 2023 election under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Kwankwaso, who is also the running mate to Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), said he is not vengeful.
