Twilio CEO Khozema Shipchandler writes personalized notes to each of the company's 80-plus leadership team members before their annual retreat. He said the ritual is partly inspired by his memories of being a junior employee at GE and how meaningful it was when a senior leader noticed him. Shipchandler added that the notes help him build relationships with potential future C-suite executives.
