The US housing market has shifted further in buyers' favor, with more sellers offering concessions and cutting prices. The percentage of sellers offering a concession rose to around 45% in August, up from 43% the prior year, marking the highest proportion in at least six years, according to Redfin. The trend is most prevalent in the Sun Belt, where sellers heavily outnumber buyers.
