Tech companies including Meta, Google, and startup Instinct have rolled out personal AI agents that can handle tasks such as booking travel, buying concert tickets, and scouring Facebook Marketplace. These agents require access to users' email logins, contacts, and credit card information. Cybersecurity professionals warn that the convenience comes with a tradeoff, as agents have shown they aren't always aligned with users' interests.
