The double-whammy that's about to hit the US economy

Most economists, market experts, and the Federal Reserve expect strong and steady US economic growth for the rest of 2026. However, the Fed's latest Summary of Economic Projections showed no participants saw risks to GDP growth as tilted to the downside. After this week's interest rate hike, the first in three years, the market is priced for another two rate hikes by March, but some analysts see near-term risks that inflation could reheat.
