The Lagos State Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS) has impounded 38 buses for allegedly operating illegally under the Bus Reform Initiative (BRI). The vehicles were apprehended for operating without the required licences and official approval from the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA). The buses were intercepted while operating along the Island route from Ajah to Sura. The enforcement exercise is part of the state government's efforts to ensure compliance with approved regulations governing commercial transportation.
