At least nine people were killed in separate attacks in Barkin Ladi, Riyom, and neighboring communities in Plateau State between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Five victims were passengers traveling to Gana-Ropp in Barkin Ladi when they were attacked on Saturday night, while two others, including a pastor, were killed on their way to church at Dorowa Babuje on Sunday morning. The National President of the Mwaghavul Development Association, Bulus Dabit, confirmed the killing of the five at Gana-Ropp and condemned the attack, calling on security agencies to track down and prosecute those responsible. Dabit lamented the loss of lives, stating that the recurring attacks were causing fear and anguish among residents, and urged authorities to strengthen security in vulnerable communities.
