Kwankwaso: I can forgive Gov. Yusuf, I still like him

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, has expressed willingness to reconcile with Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State. Yusuf, a former aide to Kwankwaso, won the 2023 governorship election under the New Nigeria Peoples Party but later defected to the All Progressives Congress, leading to a frosty relationship between the two. In an interview with BBC Hausa Service posted on his verified social media handle, Kwankwaso said he can forgive and reconcile with Yusuf if he wishes, adding that he did not abandon him or ask him to change his political party. Kwankwaso, who is also the running mate to Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, stated that he is not a vengeful person and always forgives those who wrong him.
