The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has described a report in a national daily about an alleged diversion of 5,000 slots for next year's Hajj as unfounded and unsubstantiated. The report had claimed that private operators demanded a probe into the alleged diversion. NAHCON's Head of Information and Publications Division, Shafii Sani Mohammed, signed a release denying the allegation.
