The Kenya Defence Forces, through its Research, Science, Technology and Innovation arm, is implementing an Integrated Solid Waste Management System at Water Camp Cantonment. Led by Major General Faustino Lobaly, the system includes a waste-to-energy model with biogas production, recycling, and resource recovery. Food waste from messes is processed in a biogas plant to produce renewable energy. The initiative aims to transform waste into energy and reusable resources.
