Renewed gunshots were heard in the Kantoma area of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State, prompting the evacuation of women and children from Dorowa Bubuje community. A community member, Lawrence Shong, told Vanguard that gunshots continued as of 12:15 pm on Sunday, forcing residents to move to safer locations. Security personnel are working to contain the situation as tension remains high in the area.
