The Sokoto State Government has announced plans to construct the dilapidated Layin Gidan Bello Dan Baba Road in Waziri C Ward of Sokoto North Local Government Area. Governor Ahmed Aliyu made the announcement on Saturday evening during a condolence visit to the family of the late Islamic poet, Musa Mai Akwai Gidadawa, as part of his visits to bereaved families in the metropolis. The governor expressed dismay over the road's condition and assured the community of the government's commitment to addressing it. He said the intervention was necessary given the road's vital role in the socio-economic well-being of the people, and that a team of engineers would soon assess the road to advise on appropriate action.
