Manchester City defeated Sunderland 5-3 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday to move to the top of the Premier League. Enzo Fernandez, signed from Chelsea for £125 million, scored his first goal for the club early in the match. Brian Brobbey scored a hat-trick for Sunderland, equalising after Fernandez's opener and cancelling out goals from Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo. Erling Haaland scored in the closing stages to secure City's seventh successive win in all competitions this season. City now sit three points above Arsenal heading into the international break.
