Hon. Innocent Ajaelu, the youth leader of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers South-East senatorial district, has criticized the Progressive Governors’ Forum for dissociating itself from the Rainbow Coalition. In an interview with LEADERSHIP in Port Harcourt, Ajaelu stated that as far as the APC national leadership has accepted the coalition, the position of the governors does not matter. He argued that the APC as a party is bigger than even the President of Nigeria, and that the national leadership has accepted the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State as the easiest way to win elections there. Ajaelu said the APC governors’ forum refused to understand this.
