Troops of the Armed Forces operating under Operation Fansan Yamma, in collaboration with local vigilantes, have captured suspected commanders of a terrorist group allegedly linked to the kidnapping and killing of Major General Abubakar Rabe in Katsina State. The operation was conducted on Sunday, September 20, 2026, and resulted in the capture of several senior members of the group identified as “Kachalla Maha.” One of those apprehended was reportedly Samagi, identified as one of the group’s senior commanders and a key figure in its operational structure. The operation involved troops working with local vigilantes, who reportedly provided intelligence and support in tracking the suspects through difficult terrain.
