Nigeria has been commended for its progress in climate governance, climate financing, the SDGs, primary healthcare, and basic education at a High-Level Global Executive Roundtable side event during the 81st UN General Assembly in New York. The roundtable brought together stakeholders to discuss strategies for mobilizing climate finance and accelerating SDG implementation in the Global South, with Nigeria selected as a pilot demonstration country. The meeting was held in Conference Room 11 at the United Nations Headquarters. The session was co-convened by the Global Organization for Sustainable Development Goals (GOFSDGs) and other partners.
