2027: Coalition Asks INEC To Recognise Fadojoe As AA Presidential Candidate

A coalition of civil society organisations has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognise and publish the name of Joseph Oluwadare Fadojoe as the presidential candidate of the Action Alliance (AA). The coalition, operating under the name Coalition of Civil Society Groups for Peace, Security, Good Governance, Equity and Justice, made the demand during a world press conference in Abuja. The coalition's convener, Comrade James Okoronkwo, accused INEC of disregarding an appellate court's judgement by continuing to recognise Adekunle Omo-Aje as the presidential candidate of the Action Alliance for the 2027 general election. According to him, the Court of Appeal's affirmation of Udeze as the party's legitimate national chairman paved the way for the party's national executive committee, under his leadership, to conduct a presidential primary, from which Fadojoe emerged as the duly elected candidate.
