The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has congratulated First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on her 66th birthday, praising her contributions to national development and democratic governance. Barau, who is also the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, said the First Lady's contributions to the country had been "significant and enduring." In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, the senator said Oluremi Tinubu had, through her flagship Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), continued to address challenges in education, healthcare, social welfare, women and youth empowerment, and support for vulnerable Nigerians. He noted that her commitment to nation-building predated her role as First Lady, as she founded the New Era Foundation during her tenure as First Lady of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007.
