Makinde, APM sue Abia gov over N200m campaign fee

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) have filed a lawsuit against Abia State Governor Alex Otti over an alleged N200 million campaign materials fee. The suit challenges the mandatory fee imposed on presidential candidates for displaying campaign materials in Abia State. The plaintiffs argue that the fee violates the 1999 Constitution and the Electoral Act. The case is before the Abia State High Court.
