Leaders of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Ijebuland have sued 12 family members at the Ogun State High Court in Ijebu-Ode over their purported removal from office. The claimants, including Chairman Otunba Abdulateef Owoyemi and Secretary Pastor Jeremiah Salami, are challenging allegations of financial inducement and manipulation in the selection of the new Awujale. They are seeking N1 billion in damages and a perpetual injunction to restrain the defendants from parading themselves as leaders of the royal house. The suit is marked HCJ/167/2026.
