A Magistrate's Court in Kura Local Government Area of Kano State has sentenced a man, Abdulkadir, to two years in a correctional facility for threatening his uncle's wife with a knife and attempting to sexually assault her. The court, presided over by Chief Magistrate Muhammad Alhaji Isa, convicted Abdulkadir after he pleaded guilty. The prosecution, led by Inspector Nasiru Abubakar Dansakkwato, told the court that the defendant had previously chased three of his uncle's wives with a knife and threatened to sexually assault them. The latest incident occurred after the uncle married a fourth wife.
