Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, has died at the age of 77 in a United Kingdom hospital where he went for medical treatment. The Kogi State Government confirmed his death in a statement by Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo. Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo expressed deep sorrow, describing the loss as profound for Kogi State and Nigeria. Ododo declared a state burial and a three-day mourning period, with the state government covering all burial expenses.
