The Aku-Uka of Wukari in Taraba State, His Royal Majesty Dr Ishaku Adda Ali, has raised an alarm over the security crisis in the Kwararafa kingdom, stating that the region is under siege by bandits. Speaking at the 2026 Kwararafa People's Assembly meeting in Abuja, he said several communities in Benue, Kogi, Taraba, Southern Kaduna, Nasarawa, Plateau, and Niger have been devastated by bandits, herders-farmers violence, kidnapping, and displacement. He noted that farmers can no longer go to their farms and traders cannot go to markets due to the worsening security situation. The monarch emphasized that the situation cannot be ignored.
