Telcos Back NCC’s Zero-rated Access to Educational Platforms

Telecom operators under the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria have welcomed the federal government's Zero-rated Access to Educational Platforms and Content Programme. The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Nigerian Communications Commission, the Federal Ministry of Education and participating telecommunications operators. ALTON said the initiative represents a significant step towards expanding educational opportunities, promoting digital inclusion and accelerating Nigeria's transition to a knowledge-driven digital economy. In a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Gbenga Adebayo, and Publicity Secretary, Damian Udeh, the association said the telecommunications industry has long recognised connectivity as a powerful enabler of social and economic development.
