Resident doctors at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) have vowed to continue their strike until the Lagos State Government addresses their welfare demands. The strike, which began on 9 September 2026, has entered its eleventh day, with doctors insisting they remain at a deadlock with the government. Patients seeking medical services at LASUTH have been turned away, leaving many stranded. The association's president, Dr. Akerele Alaba Gabriel, stated that the strike was necessary to press home their demands.
