Edwin Devakumar, vice president of Oil and Gas at Dangote Industries Limited, has assured prospective investors that the ongoing Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery offers a rare opportunity to invest in one of Africa's most strategic industrial enterprises. He stated that the refinery's strong operational performance, growing market share, robust demand outlook, and strategic position in Africa's energy value chain make it a compelling investment for both institutional and retail investors. According to Devakumar, the refinery has started making profits and was established to end Nigeria's dependence on imported refined petroleum products, strengthen national energy security, conserve foreign exchange, create employment opportunities, and position the country as a major exporter of petroleum products. He added that investors stand to enjoy significant value appreciation and attractive returns over the long term.
