The Nigerian naira opened the new week at varying rates against the US dollar across official and parallel markets. Data from the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market showed the naira at about ₦1,331.20 per dollar, based on the most recent official rate from Friday, September 18. A live benchmark on Monday morning indicated a rate of around ₦1,330.65. In the parallel market, the dollar was quoted at about ₦1,395, resulting in a gap of roughly ₦63.80 per dollar between the two rates.
