Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Sani Abdullahi Lulu has explained why he refused to sign a position paper submitted by former NFF administrators to a visiting FIFA and CAF delegation in Abuja. Lulu said he was not given the opportunity to scrutinise the document's contents or contribute to its recommendations before it was presented. He was among former federation presidents and secretary-generals who met the delegation during its governance assessment consultations. Lulu stated that the initial plan was for the former officials to meet and agree on a common position, but the arrangement changed without his involvement, and he was later asked to endorse a decision already reached.
