Gov. Lawal seeks investments, partnerships at UNGA

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal is set to seek investments and development partnerships for the state during his participation at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. The governor is expected to engage global leaders, development partners and international organisations on opportunities for collaboration in security, economic development, education, healthcare and sustainable development. The 81st UN General Assembly is themed, "Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation: A United Nations That Delivers for All." A statement said Lawal's participation would also provide an opportunity to showcase Zamfara's development priorities and attract partnerships to support ongoing programmes across various sectors. His engagements began on September 18 with a High-Level Executive Global Roundtable Side Event and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Moment, and on September 21 he is scheduled to speak at a high-level side event.
