The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has lifted its ban on swapping registered GSM numbers and changing email addresses for candidates. Under the revised policy, candidates who have lost access to their registered SIM cards or email accounts can update their details through a controlled verification process. The new arrangement takes effect on Monday, September 21, 2026, according to a statement by Dr Fabian Benjamin, JAMB's Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocols. The ban was initially imposed due to security vulnerabilities associated with altering candidates' credentials.
