Justin Blinder, a Brooklyn-based artist and software developer, created a device called "Ground Truth" that attaches to CitiBikes and makes pedaling harder in rent-burdened areas of New York City. The project was inspired by his experiences as an Uber Eats delivery worker in 2020, where he observed stark contrasts in housing. Blinder aims to make the city's affordability crisis more tangible through this interactive invention.
