Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA rescued 23 kidnapped victims and arrested four suspected members of the Lakurawa terrorist group in separate operations in Sokoto State. The troops of Sector 2, Joint Task Force North West, also foiled terrorist attacks in Wurno, Sabon Birni and Isa Local Government Areas. During an attack on Sabon Gari in Wurno Local Government Area, troops engaged the terrorists, forcing them to withdraw and rescuing six kidnapped victims. One civilian who sustained a gunshot wound was evacuated to a medical facility.
