The All Progressives Congress (APC) and Labour Party in Abia State have exchanged allegations regarding an alleged plan to disrupt the collation of results at the INEC collation centre in Bende ahead of the 2027 general elections. The APC claimed that the Labour Party was planning to disrupt the process and burn the Bende Local Government headquarters, where the collation centre has been located for decades. The Labour Party dismissed the allegation as false and accused the APC of raising false alarm to create tension in the state.
