Air cargo operators urged to cut regulatory, clearance delays

The Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) has urged stakeholders in the air transport sector to address challenges affecting air cargo operations, including multiple regulatory interfaces, cargo clearance delays, inadequate infrastructure, and high logistics costs. The Registrar/CEO of CRFFN, Dr. Kingsley Igwe, said addressing these challenges is necessary to unlock the opportunities presented by air cargo to the economy. He noted that the growth of e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, agricultural exports, and other time-sensitive commodities presents an opportunity for Nigeria to strengthen its position in regional and global supply chains.
