Leaders of the ruling house for the Awujale stool are seeking N1 billion in damages and an injunction against 12 family members. The Awujale throne became vacant in July 2025 following the death of Oba Sikiru Adetona. The legal action is part of a crisis over the succession to the throne. The case is before a court.
