The legal adviser to APC governorship aspirant Hon. Abayomi Hunye has accused the party's candidate, Senator Solomon Adeola, also known as Yayi, of allegedly making contradictory declarations of state of origin in sworn electoral documents. Hunye's legal adviser, Olawale Victor, made the accusation at a press conference in Lagos, stating that the threat to drag his principal to court is baseless as the case is before a court of competent jurisdiction. Victor said Hunye is not challenging Adeola's indigeneity but stressed that the serving Ogun West senator has committed perjury. He noted that Adeola had held elective office in another state and swore an oath on the INEC form that everything provided was true.
