Students of the Taraba State College of Nursing Sciences in Jalingo held a peaceful protest following an overnight attack on a female hostel located outside the institution's premises. The attackers allegedly invaded the hostel and assaulted a female student. Reports state that the victim was allegedly raped and had one of her fingers cut off during the incident. The protest was staged by hundreds of students in response to the attack.
