A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Shittu Ibraheem Aremu, has urged Muslims to support Muslim candidates contesting under the All Progressives Congress (APC). Aremu, who represents Saki West State Constituency, made the call in a video shared by Sure TV. He cautioned Muslims against supporting political parties fielding Christian candidates for governorship positions, saying it could have implications for the interests of Muslims and Islam. The comments come ahead of the 2027 general elections.
