Captain Djamilla Pelagie Balak'we Seibou, a member of the Benin Armed Forces for 16 years, serves as a Military Observer with the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). She travels across Western Equatoria to meet local leaders and communities, monitoring and analyzing the security situation in support of the peace process. She believes that lasting peace is built through listening, mutual trust, and respect for others.
