The Benue State Police Command has arrested 17 suspects in connection with a mob attack on passengers of a commercial vehicle in Adagi community, Kwande Local Government Area. The attack occurred after a motor accident and resulted in a senior police officer being left in a coma, while the Divisional Police Officer of Kwande sustained multiple machete wounds while attempting to rescue an accident victim. State Commissioner of Police, Cletus Nwadiogbu, paraded the suspects at the command headquarters in Makurdi and confirmed that the injured senior officer is still hospitalised and receiving treatment.
