A three-member panel of the Court of Appeal, in a unanimous judgment delivered by Justice Joseph Eyo Ekanem, has acquitted a man who was jailed seven years over an N12 million dredger deal. The court held that the prosecution failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the man, Ogbobe, obtained the money by false pretence or dishonestly stole it.
