No fewer than 5,792 out of about 5,900 candidates have taken the 2026 Directorate Cadre Promotion Examination conducted by the Federal Civil Service Commission. Chairman of the commission, Prof. Tunji Olaopa, disclosed this during a briefing and inspection of designated examination centres in Abuja. He said the examination was decentralised across the six geopolitical zones and the Federal Capital Territory to make participation easier for eligible civil servants. Olaopa added that the adoption of computer-based testing had made the examination easier to administer.
