Minister of Power Joseph Tegbe has dismissed reports that the Federal Government plans to withdraw electricity subsidies or increase tariffs from next year. Tegbe made the clarification at a press briefing in Abuja to mark his first 100 days in office, stating that the government has no plan to introduce any tariff increase that would further burden Nigerians. He said the government's priority is to improve electricity supply and ensure better service without imposing additional financial pressure on consumers. The minister added that efforts would continue towards improving power generation, transmission and distribution across the country.
