South Africa strikes gold with nine gold medals at Tug-of-War World Championships in Mossel Bay

South Africa's athletes won fifteen medals, including nine gold, at the 30th Tug-of-War World Championships held in Hartenbos, Mossel Bay. The championships, which concluded this weekend, featured national teams and clubs from sixteen countries. Western Cape Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Ricardo Mackenzie, congratulated the athletes on their achievement. The Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport invested R1.5 million in the event, which returned to the province eight years after Cape Town hosted the Outdoor World Championships in 2018.
