Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared he will never support Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma for President of the Senate in 2027. In an interview on TVC News' Journalists' Hangout, Wike accused Uzodinma of using his position to advance personal political ambitions. Wike said that some politicians who lost out in the APC's nomination process have found alternative platforms to contest the 2027 elections, and Uzodinma knows such candidates might not support his Senate presidency bid if they win. The statement comes amid an escalating dispute between Wike and APC governors over his Rainbow Coalition ahead of the 2027 elections.
