OpenAI has released a proposal aimed at establishing international coordination on artificial intelligence safety. In a blog post on Monday, the company called for national AI safety institutes, such as the U.S. Commerce Department’s Center for AI Standards and Innovation, to set standards in areas including model evaluation and risk management. The proposal seeks to promote global cooperation on AI safety measures.
