The Plateau State Government has announced an immediate dusk-to-dawn curfew across Barkin Ladi, Bokkos and Mangu Local Government Areas following emerging security threats that officials say require urgent containment. The directive, effective Monday, restricts movement between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM until further notice. In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Rt. Hon. Joyce Lohya Ramnap, the administration of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang said the curfew was part of a coordinated security response aimed at protecting lives and restoring calm. Residents in the three local government areas are expected to comply fully with the directive and adjust their commercial, agricultural and personal activities to fit within the period.
