President Donald Trump took off from a new White House helipad aboard Marine One after an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday. The granite helipad, which bears the presidential seal, was funded by Sikorsky Aircraft, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin. Trump said the helipad is intended to protect the grass on the South Lawn from the Marine One helicopters. A Lockheed Martin spokesperson confirmed the contribution was made to the National Park Service.
